After time away from your computer Lync wants you to log back in an you can not log in by clicking Sign In.


Close Lync 

Click the down arrow next to the gear icon

Choose File - Exit


Restart Lync

Click Start, click All Programs, click Microsoft Office 2013/ 2016, click Lync 2013/ Skype for Business 2015/2016, this is dependent on what version is your most current version.
